Through the cooperation between Università di Roma Tor Vergata, Université Paris Cité, and the LIED laboratory, the project brings together professors, researchers, PhD candidates, and Master students within a framework of international mobility, academic exchange, and research cooperation between Italy and France.

Daniela Felisini
Daniela Felisini is Full Professor of Economic History at Università di Roma Tor Vergata, holder of a Jean Monnet Chair. She is President of the University's Doctoral School. She has been a visiting scholar at numerous foreign universities, including Paris Cité, Shanghai, and the London School of Economics. Her research focuses on the history of European economic integration, with particular emphasis on industrial policy; the business history of healthcare; public enterprises and the role of the State in the economy; banks and bankers in the European financial market. Among her recent publications: "Industrial Policy and its Funding at the Frontier of European Integration: Lessons from the Past and Present Challenges", Enterprise & Society, 2024, with P. Elisa Grandi
Elisa Grandi is Assistant Professor of Contemporary Economic History at Université Paris Cité and the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Énergies de Demain (LIED), where she coordinates the Master's programme in Energy, Ecology and Society, and is an associated member of the Centre for Economic and Social History François Simiand at the Paris School of Economics. Her research interests include international economic relations, international financial organisations and development programmes, and digital humanities. Among her recent publications: "Take-off in Bogotá: a Microhistory of the World Bank's Early Missions in Colombia (1948–1957)", Management & Organizational History, 2024; "World Bank's Missions in Colombia. Rojas' Regime, Domestic Opposition, and International Economists", Research in the History of Economic Thought and Methodology, 2020.
Simone Oggionni
Simone Oggionni holds a PhD from Università di Roma Tor Vergata. He currently teaches Economic History and European Policies at Università di Roma Tor Vergata and Università di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale. His research focuses on the economic history of European integration, with particular emphasis on the development of the internal market and the evolution of industrial policy. He has served in the Cabinet of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance during the Conte II and Draghi governments. His most recent monograph is Il Libro bianco di Lord Cockfield e l'identità economica europea. 1985-1992 (Carocci, 2026).
Maria Padovan
Maria Padovan is a business historian specializing in energy and European integration. She currently teaches at Bocconi University. She is also the Scientific Secretary of the Committee for the History of Electricity and Energy (CHEE, supported by the EDF Group Foundation) and associate editor of the Journal of Energy History/Revue d’histoire de l’énergie (JEHRHE). She holds a double Ph.D. in History at Università di Roma Tor Vergata and Université Paris Cité, where she was also affiliated with the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Énergies de Demain (LIED, UMR 8236). Her dissertation focuses on the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) and the attempt to establish a unified industrial policy among its Member States in the nuclear sector. Her doctoral research was supported by prestigious scholarships, including the EDF Group Foundation research grant and the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Damiano Toderi
Damiano Toderi is a third-year PhD candidate in the National Doctoral Programme in European Studies, working between Università di Roma Tor Vergata and Università di Genova. His dissertation focuses on the relations between Western Europe and the Soviet Union in the field of natural gas, within the framework of the European integration process, examining the roles of European Community institutions, companies, and governments. On these topics, he has published "Between Energy Crisis and Cold War Tensions: How an Incohesive European Community Saved the Siberian Gas Pipeline (1980-1985)", Journal of Energy History/Revue d'Histoire de l'Énergie, 2023. He was a visiting PhD student at the Université Paris Cité and he worked as a researcher on energy and international relations for Eni S.p.A. and MedOr-Italian Foundation. His doctoral research is supported by the François Caron Research Grant of the EDF Group Foundation.
